Spring News!

Busy Month of May!

Even with the spring weather - windy, warm, hot, cold, rain, snow we have been busy!

We made an attempt to be in the 49ers Parade but between our standby at the Sunflower Relay and an emergency call we were only able to have one ambulance in the parade!
We partnered with Pearrygin Lake State Park, Okanogan County Fire District #6, Winthrop Kiwanis, Methow Cycle and Sport, Winthrop Marshall's Office, Twisp Police Department and Twisp Works to offer a Bicycle Safety Rodeo. The next one is this weekend (June 8th) at Pearrygin Lake State Park from 10-12.
June 8 and 9 are  National Get Out Doors Day In recognition, the Discover Pass is not required to visit state parks on these days.  See you there!!!!

We provided Standby for the Methow Valley Horsemen's Rodeo on Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Weekend. See more information at their website  Methow Valley Rodeo and a great video on the Grist.

The EMR (Emergency Medical Responders) students worked hard all month. On June 2nd they took their practical exam.

OK- enough talk - here are the photos to give a visual!!

The EMR students listen intently to their Practical Exam instructions.

Darn it! Don't you hate it when those arrows get stuck in your upper leg. The students did a stellar job of managing this simulated injury,
Mid exam anxiety!

Now our patient has managed to cut herself with a  saw! Carolyn is one of our long time volunteers and a great simulated patient!

Byron adds a little fresh "blood".

Methow Cycle and Sport provides a bicycle safety check station.

No one escapes Julie's watchful eye!

Mel (one of our board members) spent the morning assisting with the skills.

EMS Week was May 19 - 25th. The theme was
One Mission
One Team
